What did Sai Baba's Guru actually mean when he asked for 'two paise'?

📖 Chapter 19

In Chapter 19, it is explained that the Guru's request for 'two paise' was not a desire for worldly money, as he was a being whose desires were already fulfilled. Instead, this was a symbolic request for two essential virtues from the disciple. The text clarifies, 'Faith (Nishtha) and Patience (Saburi)—these were the two paise, nothing else; I gave them to him then and there, and thus my Guru-Mother was pleased with me.' Therefore, the two coins represented the disciple's offering of complete faith and unwavering patience, which are the true treasures a Guru seeks from their follower.
