Sai Baba revealed a prophecy about Tatya's fate to Ramchandra Dada Patil, who had just recovered from a severe illness. As recounted in Chapter 42, Baba told Ramchandra that Tatya's fate was not good and that in the Shaka year 1840, during the bright half of the month of Ashvin on Vijayadashami, Tatya would attain the eternal state.
