What did Sai Baba mean when he asked his disciple to give him 'two paise'?

📖 Chapter 19

When recounting the story of his own Guru, Sai Baba explained that his Guru had asked him for two paise. As detailed in Chapter 19, these were not literal coins. Baba clarifies that his Guru, being one whose desires were fulfilled, had no need for worldly money. The 'two paise' were a metaphor for the two most important qualities a disciple can offer: Faith (Nishtha) and Patience (Saburi). Baba states that he gave these to his Guru immediately, which pleased his 'Guru-Mother.' This story illustrates that the true currency a Guru desires from a disciple is not material wealth but spiritual virtues like unwavering faith and steadfast patience.
