According to the account in Chapter 44, Sai Baba, knowing his end was near, spent his last fourteen days and nights in a state of focused contemplation. During this period, he had a Brahmin read the Ramayana to him. The text specifies that as these two weeks of listening to the Ramayana were completed, the day of Vijayadashami arrived, and it was on this day that Baba attained the state of bodilessness, or passed away. This devotional act was the final spiritual practice he engaged in before leaving his physical form.
What did Sai Baba do in the two weeks just before he passed away?
