What did Sai Baba do in the days leading up to his passing?

In the period immediately before his passing, Sai Baba consciously prepared for his departure. According to Chapter 44, knowing his end was near, he arranged for a Brahmin to read the Ramayana to him. He listened with focused contemplation for a continuous period of two weeks, which is fourteen days and nights. This spiritual practice concluded on the day of Vijayadashami, the very day that Baba attained the state of bodilessness and left his physical form. This act of listening to the epic signifies a deliberate and peaceful preparation for his final moments.
