Damu Anna's involvement in the annual Ram Navami festival was a significant expression of his devotion. As detailed in Chapter 25, two large new flags are part of a procession in Shirdi for the festival. One of these flags was provided by Damu Anna, and the other by the Nimonkars. This was a regular vow he fulfilled for many years with what is described as "uninterrupted love and devotion."
