The Shri Sai Satcharita was composed in the Ovi meter, a style well-suited for Marathi poetic works and biographies, making them easy for the public to follow. As Chapter 0 explains, this choice aligns with the tradition of many great, revered Marathi poetic works. Regarding the content, the author, Annasaheb, did not invent the narratives. Many of the stories and leelas were events he personally witnessed. The rest were based on the authentic experiences of other devotees, which they had either in person or in dreams and then communicated to Annasaheb.
