What benefits does one receive from listening to the Sai Satcharitra with faith and respect?

Listening to the Sai Satcharitra is described in Chapter 48 as a highly blessed and purifying activity. The text promises that those who listen with a pure heart and good faith will have all their desires fulfilled. Furthermore, those who listen with great meaning and respect will effortlessly and quickly attain devotion to Sai Baba's feet. The act of listening is said to make both the listener and the speaker eternally pure, destroying their accumulated sins and merits and leading them to liberation. It is also advised that after listening, one should reflect (Manan) on the stories to fully absorb their grace.
