What benefits can a devotee expect from placing their faith in a Sadguru, according to the teachings in Chapter 10?

📖 Chapter 10

According to Chapter 10, placing faith in a Sadguru yields profound spiritual benefits and offers a direct path to liberation. The chapter teaches that the Guru is the "one eternal God" who can change one's destiny, metaphorically described as striking "a nail over the lines of destiny." When a devotee serves the Sadguru with purity, their worldly existence (Samsara) is completely destroyed. The Guru acts as a boatman, helping the faithful cross the three types of miseries and the entire ocean of existence (Bhavasagar). In response to sincere devotion, the Guru grants Knowledge (Samvitti), breaks the knots of the heart, eliminates attachment to sense objects, and destroys both accumulated (Sanchit) and current (Kriyaman) karmas, ultimately bestowing liberation (Moksha) effortlessly.
