What attributes and instruments of power are associated with the 'King of Yogis' in Chapter 16?

📖 Chapter 16

Chapter 16 describes the 'King of Yogis' with profound symbolic attributes. He is stainless (Niranjana), imperishable (Avyaya), and beyond attributes (Gunatita). His power is not of this world; fans of Self-experience and immediate realization are waved on either side of him. His speech is the 'river of nectar from the ocean of Vedanta.' One of his most formidable instruments is the 'sharp blade of the sword of Knowledge.' The mere sight of this sword, raised in his hand, causes the entire tree of worldly existence (Bhav-vriksha) to tremble in fear. This imagery, as conveyed in the chapter, signifies his power to destroy worldly illusion and attachment, establishing his dominion over the Empire of Self-Bliss.
