What are the primary teachings and themes presented in Chapter 38 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra?

📖 Chapter 38

Chapter 38 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra begins with powerful invocations and salutations to various deities and, most importantly, to Shri Sadguru Sainath, who is praised as the 'Protector of those who bow to You' and the 'Destroyer of the cycle of worldly existence'. The chapter describes Sai Baba as the very 'mold of Brahman' and the 'jewel among saints'. Following this praise, the author transitions from the topic of the Chavadi in the previous chapter to the story of the Handi (cooking pot), which is introduced as a source of uninterrupted joy. The main teaching then focuses on the supreme virtue of food donation (Annadan). As explained in Chapter 38, charity is the recommended path for the Kali age, and among all charities, feeding the hungry is considered the foremost deed, as food itself is a form of the Supreme Reality, Para-Brahman.
