In one instance detailed in Chapter 28, Laxmichand was suffering from hunger and back pain while simultaneously craving a sweet called khaja. Baba, without being told, spoke aloud about hunger, the need for medicine for back pain, and how the "wind of khaja has blown," perfectly echoing Laxmichand's inner state. In another event mentioned in the same chapter, Baba developed a cough during the Chavadi procession. Laxmichand privately thought it might be due to an "evil eye."
