What are some examples from the Satcharitra of Sai Baba knowing people's private thoughts in the story of Laxmichand?

📖 Chapter 28

Chapter 28 provides clear examples of Sai Baba's omniscience, or inner knowledge, in his interactions with Laxmichand. In one instance, Laxmichand was suffering from intense hunger and back pain while simultaneously craving a sweet called khaja. Baba, without being told, voiced his devotee's exact state by saying, 'Hunger has come, that's good. There should be medicine for back pain. Now the wind of khaja has blown.' In another incident, when Baba developed a cough, Laxmichand privately thought it might be due to an 'evil eye.' The very next morning, Baba spoke similar words, showing that he was aware of even the most fleeting thoughts in his devotee's mind.
