Was Sai Baba always gentle, or could he be strict with his devotees?

πŸ“– Chapter 19

While known for his immense compassion, Sai Baba could also be very firm and direct when necessary. Chapter 19 reveals this side of his personality. He was omniscient and knew when someone was secretly practicing Hatha Yoga, and would correct them with sharp words. He gave stern warnings, stating, "Our caste is very harsh; we will try and tell you once or twice; the final state is very difficult." He even went as far as to say that if someone, even his own son, did not heed his words after being told twice, he would "cut him in two and throw him away!" This powerful language, found in Chapter 19, emphasizes the critical importance Baba placed on heeding his guidance.
