There was a big misunderstanding between Dev and Baba about the Udyapan feast. What happened and how was it cleared up?

The misunderstanding arose because Dev expected Sai Baba to attend his Udyapan ceremony in a recognizable form, but Baba came in the guise of a Sanyasi with two companions. As recounted in Chapter 40, because Dev did not recognize Him, he felt deeply disappointed and wrongly believed Baba had broken His promise to attend. He then wrote a letter of complaint to his friend Jog in Shirdi. The misunderstanding was cleared up when Jog presented the letter to Sai Baba. Baba then explained exactly how He had fulfilled His word, detailing His appearance as the Sanyasi. Jog relayed this entire account back to Dev in another letter, which resolved the issue and revealed the truth of Baba's subtle presence.
