Mhalasapati and Maharaj shared an extremely close and intimate relationship. According to Chapter 0, Maharaj would alternate sleeping between the Masjid and the Chavadi. On the nights Maharaj slept in the Masjid, Mhalasapati would unfailingly sit by his side until dawn. These nights were filled with very affectionate conversations between them. This routine continued until Mhalasapati's passing. Chapter 0 also highlights that Mhalasapati was a highly advanced and completely selfless soul, who served as a source of guidance and a place of rest for Maharaj's devotees, especially after Maharaj's own time.
