Mhalasapati had an exceptionally close and intimate relationship with Sai Baba. As described in Chapter 0, he was one of Maharaj's most devoted followers. He had a unique routine where he would stay with Maharaj in the Masjid all night, every other night, as Baba alternated sleeping between the Masjid and the Chavadi.
