The text states, 'Only from knowledge comes liberation.' What are the necessary conditions for achieving this liberating knowledge?

📖 Chapter 50

Chapter 50 elaborates on the path to liberation, confirming the Vedic theorem that liberation comes only from knowledge. However, it also specifies crucial prerequisites. The text clearly states that "without the destruction of sinful karma, the dawn of knowledge is impossible." Furthermore, it highlights the problem of doubt, from which ignorance manifests. This ignorance, it says, "cannot be removed without a Guru." Even a wise person can become prideful if doubt enters their knowledge. Therefore, one must first understand and remove ignorance to purify the mind, which is a necessary step before infinite knowledge can manifest and lead to non-dual Samadhi.
