The text speculates about the tiger's past life. What was the story behind its curse and eventual liberation?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 31

Chapter 31 puts forth a theory about the tiger's karmic history. It suggests that in a previous life, the soul within the tiger might have been a meritorious person who, driven by pride in their learning, insulted a devotee of Hari (verse 152). Consequently, the devotee cursed them to take on the "cruel birth" of a tiger. The narrative then implies that a counter-curse was also in effect, which ultimately led the tiger to Sai Baba. As detailed in verses 153 and 154, this encounter allowed for the fulfillment of destiny, where Sai's darshan burned away the tiger's sins, broke its karmic bonds, and granted it salvation.
