The text says even 'wise Pandits' can be trapped by illusion. How does this happen and what is the way out?

📖 Chapter 50

Chapter 50 explains that even those who consider themselves wise 'Pandits' can be trapped by Maya through attachment and pride. This happens when they identify with the body and possessions, thinking, "I am the body, mine are wife and home." Another significant trap is intellectual pride, where one thinks, "Skilled in scriptures, possessing genius, there is no other equal to me." According to the text, this great pride is a primary cause for dissatisfaction and is a form of Maya or Avidya itself. The way out, as Chapter 50 suggests, is for the wise to recognize and remove these veils of ignorance and attachment at the very beginning, which then allows true knowledge to arise.
