The text describes Amir's stay in the Chavadi as both 'imprisonment' and 'firm companionship with Sai.' How can both be true?

📖 Chapter 22

This paradox highlights the dual nature of Amir's experience, which was a test of faith. Externally, as Chapter 22 explains, his stay felt like imprisonment. He was confined to a single, unpleasant place for nine months, forbidden even from visiting the Masjid, which made him feel trapped. However, this physical confinement led to an unparalleled 'firm companionship with Sai.' Because he was in the Chavadi, he automatically received Baba's vision every morning and evening. On alternate nights when Baba slept there, they would talk privately after other devotees left. This close, personal access was a rare spiritual benefit that made the external hardship a path to internal grace.
