The text contrasts Sai Baba with other types of gurus. What were the key differences in their approach to disciples and fame?

📖 Chapter 10

Chapter 10 provides a stark contrast between Sai Baba and other gurus of his time. While many gurus would forcibly catch disciples, give them mantras just to fleece them of their wealth, and teach religion while practicing irreligion themselves, Sai was entirely different. The text states He had no desire for fame or to have flags of his religiosity fly in the world. He did not wander from door to door or piteously ask for money. Instead, Sai's form was characterized by a complete lack of bodily pride and an extreme, ever-present love and compassion for his disciples, constantly concerned with how they might attain liberation.
