The source text uses the word 'shraddha' in two different ways. Describe these two meanings and the stories associated with each.

📖 Chapter 4

The excerpts from Chapter 4 interestingly use the word 'shraddha' to convey two distinct concepts. The first meaning is 'faith' or 'intense belief.' This is evident when Sai Baba encourages Das Ganu to organize a Name-week, promising a vision of Vitthal but adding the crucial condition: "the devotee must be full of faith (shraddha)." Here, shraddha is the internal state of devotion required to perceive the divine. The second meaning is the 'Shraddha' ritual, which is the annual death anniversary ceremony. This is featured in the story of Bhagwantrao Kshirsagar. Baba points out Bhagwantrao's lapse in familial duty by stating that after his father's death, "even the Shraddha was skipped." In this context, Shraddha is an external religious rite of remembrance and offering, which Baba also considered important to maintain.
