The scriptures often praise heaven, but the Satcharitra seems to suggest life on earth is more important. Why is that?

Chapter 37 of the Shri Sai Satcharitra presents a profound perspective on the value of earthly life versus heaven. It explains that the heavenly home is primarily a place for sensual enjoyment, from which one inevitably falls after their accumulated merit is exhausted. The text questions the desire for such a place, asking what use it is if there is no remembrance of God. In contrast, the earth-world, though offering a fleeting life, is described as being of profound importance. Chapter 37 clarifies that even a momentary action on earth, if offered to God, can lead to a state of fearlessness. Therefore, it is better to be born here, where one has the opportunity for genuine devotion, service, and the narration of stories of the Guru, than to strive for the temporary pleasures of a heavenly realm.
