However, a counter-curse was also in effect, which destined him to eventually come to the feet of a great saint. Through Sai Baba's darshan, the sins of his past were burned away, the bonds of suffering were broken, and he ultimately attained salvation, freeing him from the cruel body and the karmic debt he owed.
