The Satcharita says Baba 'left the body.' What does this really mean according to the philosophy explained in Chapter 43? Did he actually die?

The text explains that for a Yogi, leaving the body is a conscious act, not a cessation of existence. It states that Sai Samarth could 'die at will' and 'burned the body in the fire of Yoga.' His physical body was merely an adjunct, and his departure was a merging into his 'previous unmanifest state.' The text emphasizes that he remains eternally present in the hearts of his devotees and fills the entire world in his true form, so in this context, he cannot be said to have truly perished.
