Chapter 37 explains that death itself is the great fear of worldly existence. The key to becoming fearless is to hold firmly to the Guru’s pair of feet. It is the Guru who grants the non-dual intellect, which is essential because fear enters wherever there is an obsession with duality. Therefore, to find freedom from this fear, one should serve the non-distinguished state where no trace of fear can exist. By surrendering to the Satguru, one can overcome the fear of death and the worries of the world, as He is the one who removes all such burdens.
The fear of death is a fundamental human anxiety. What guidance is offered for overcoming this great fear?
