Chapter 18 describes two separate events that should not be confused. In the first instance, the author, while reading the Bhagavat, put the book aside to go see Baba. Baba, however, insisted that he return and finish the reading, showing the great importance he placed on completing the Parayana. In a separate sub-story, Baba sent a message to a different person, Shama (Madhavrao), asking for fifteen rupees as Dakshina. There is no mention in the text of Baba requesting Dakshina from the author in relation to his interrupted reading; Baba's only insistence for him was that the sacred reading be completed.
The author mentions his reading of the Bhagavat was interrupted. Did Baba insist he give 15 rupees in Dakshina before finishing it?
