According to Chapter 28, on what was described as an auspicious day, Sai Baba specifically requested a food offering, or naivedya, of "khaja." He told his devotees, "Bring me a plate full of khaja; then do the arati-puja." The devotees went and brought back two bowls filled with the sweet.
