Tell me about Kashiram's encounter with the Bhil robbers and what it reveals about his faith.

📖 Chapter 0

Kashiram's encounter with Bhil robbers, described in Chapter 0, is a testament to his character and faith. While returning from a market, he and other travelers were set upon by robbers. After the thieves took some of his belongings, they tried to snatch a small bundle he carried. Believing it held treasure, they were persistent. However, the bundle contained only powdered sugar, which Kashiram carried to feed ants as advised by the saint Janakidas Baba. Valuing this pious act, Kashiram refused to let the bundle go. In the ensuing struggle, he fought back, killing two thieves before being struck unconscious with an axe. Crucially, after regaining consciousness, his faith in Maharaj was so absolute that he refused to go to a hospital and insisted on being taken to Shirdi for healing, demonstrating his complete trust in Baba's protective and healing power.
