Balabuva Satarkar was a renowned Haridas from Satara, famously known as the 'Modern Tukaram' for his devotional Bhajans. According to Chapter 6, he was deeply associated with the annual Ram Navami festival. He held an annual grant, established by an imperial decree, to perform the Ram Navami Kirtan at the holy place of Siddha-Kavthe in Satara district. However, one year the festival at Kavthe was cancelled due to a plague outbreak. This led him to Shirdi, where, with the help of Dixit and Kaka Mahajani, he performed the entire Ram Navami festival in the presence of Sai Baba with great novelty and love.
