Even though Amir Shakkar was forbidden from visiting the Masjid for darshan, his stay in the Chavadi ironically provided him with frequent and effortless opportunities to see Sai Baba. Chapter 22 explains that Baba's own daily routine made this possible. Every morning, Baba's path for seeking alms passed directly in front of the Chavadi, allowing Amir to see Him come and go. In the evenings, Baba would also come before the Chavadi to salute the directions. Furthermore, on alternate nights when Baba slept in the Chavadi, they were separated by only a thin curtain and a plank door, and they would often talk privately after the other devotees left.
Since Amir wasn't allowed to go to the Masjid, how did he still get to see Sai Baba?
