Although Sai Baba was the personification of detachment and radiant with His own inner peace, He lovingly accepted the decorations offered by His devotees. Chapter 37 explains that for Him, who is adorned with devotion and the jewel of peace, worldly ornaments like gold necklaces and crowns held no real value. However, seeing the eagerness and love of His followers, He would deliberately remain silent and extend His neck to receive the garlands and jewels.
