Sai Baba was initially reluctant to be worshipped. How did the practice of 'pooja' and 'aarti' eventually become established traditions in Shirdi?

πŸ“– Chapter 0

The establishment of worship rituals for Maharaj was a gradual process, as he initially did not even allow himself to be worshipped. As recounted in Chapter 0, the first person to receive permission for worship was Mhalasapati. Later, when Sitaram Dengle attempted to worship, Maharaj was initially angry but let him finish. The turning point came when he peacefully allowed Nanasaheb Chandorkar's son, Bapu, to perform worship, after which everyone received permission. The Aarti had a separate beginning; Maharaj did not allow it for some time until the honor of the first Aarti was given to Tatyasaheb Noolkar. Furthermore, Radhakrishna-Aai was responsible for starting the regular Shej-Aarti and Kakad-Aarti.
