Sai Baba says He will pull devotees from the 'jaws of death.' How does surrendering to Him and engaging with His stories lead to this ultimate protection?

📖 Chapter 3

According to Chapter 3, this ultimate protection is a direct result of complete surrender and unwavering faith. Sai Baba makes a solemn vow: "He who surrenders solely to me and worships me with faith, Contemplating me and remembering me; his liberation is my vow." This vow explicitly includes pulling His devotee "out from the jaws of death (Krutanta)." The mechanism is a spiritual one; by constantly keeping His name, devotion, and stories in one's heart, there is no room left for worldly desires or mortal fears. The act of listening to His stories with respect is powerful enough to cure diseases and, through the prescribed path of listening, contemplation, and meditation, the devotee achieves a state of peace and liberation under His protection.
