My spiritual group is very focused on attaining heaven. What is Sai Baba's perspective on the pursuit of heaven versus devotion on Earth?

๐Ÿ“– Chapter 37

According to Chapter 37, the pursuit of heaven is less important than devotion in our current lives. The text questions the value of a heavenly home if it lacks the remembrance of the Lord, describing it as merely a place for sensual enjoyment. It points out that there is no real difference in pleasure, whether for Indra in a celestial garden or a donkey in a dung-heap. The Satcharitra emphasizes that the earth-world is of profound importance because, even with a fleeting life, one who offers every action to God can attain a place of fearlessness. Therefore, a community's focus should be on devotion and service here, not on a realm from which one falls after their merit is exhausted.
