As explained in Chapter 51, Kakasaheb Dixit viewed his physical body as being in a "perishable state" and was not worried about the long-term pain in his foot. His primary motivation for seeking Sai Baba's darshan was to attain supreme spiritual bliss. He told Nana that he had no desire for petty pleasures and that his real struggle was with his unsteady mind, which he described as 'lame.' Despite his best efforts and spiritual practices, his mind would slip away, and he hoped that Sai Baba could help him bring this 'lame' mind back to its senses and grant him the priceless joy of Brahman.
Kakasaheb Dixit had a severe foot injury. Why did he tell Nana Chandorkar that he was more concerned about his 'lame' mind than his lame foot when deciding to visit Shirdi?
