That feeling is understandable when you are searching for something specific. The Sri Sai Satcharitra, however, directs the reader's attention toward a different kind of reward. As Chapter 50 advises, the goal is to cultivate a pure heart by engaging with the stories with faith and humility. The text asks us to "hold humility in hearing; let the listeners also perceive Sai in their hearts." The value, according to the book, is not found in a comprehensive list of names but in the spiritual process itself—a process where the reader, reading, and subject become one, ultimately realizing that Sai is the true source of the words.
