Reading a Guru's biography can be done for both spiritual and worldly purposes. As explained in Chapter 0, these texts are used in two ways. The first is 'Kamya,' which is done with a desire for worldly prosperity or for the removal of worries, calamities, distress, and diseases. The second is 'Nishkam,' which is performed with a selfless mind for liberation from the cycle of birth and death. Therefore, using these texts to seek help with worldly concerns is a recognized and valid approach.
