In the path of devotion, who is ultimately identified as the true Brahman?

In a profound declaration found in Chapter 45, the Guru alone is identified as the true Brahman. The text establishes a fundamental principle for seekers: Brahman is eternal, while the world is transient. Based on this, the recommended spiritual practice, or means, is to renounce the transient world and its attachments. The seeker should instead meditate only on the Guru. This is because the Sadguru is described as a solid mass of Brahman-consciousness. This constant feeling and meditation on the Guru as the supreme reality is what leads to dispassion (Vairagya) and undifferentiated worship (Abheda-bhajan).
