If the author is just a "pretext" and Sai Baba is the real writer, what is the author's role and what must they do to receive Baba's help?

📖 Chapter 2

According to the teachings in Chapter 2, Sai Baba explained that the author is merely a pretext for the divine work of chronicling His stories. Baba stated, "I myself shall write my own story!" For this divine assistance to manifest, the author's primary role is to completely dissolve their ego and surrender it at Baba's feet. As Chapter 2 details, Baba promised His full help and service to one who successfully dissolves their ego, allowing Him to enter with 'I-ness' and write with His own hand. Therefore, the author's main responsibility is the spiritual task of surrendering the self to become a pure instrument for Baba's will.
