If the author felt that silence was the best way to praise Sai, why did he end up writing the whole Satcharitra?

📖 Chapter 49

Chapter 49 explains this apparent contradiction. While the author acknowledges that silence is the highest form of praise, he states that "each quality of Sai makes me forget that silence." He uses the metaphor of a delicious feast, explaining that when one tastes something wonderful, the natural desire is to share it with friends and loved ones so the bliss can be doubled. He felt he couldn't enjoy the bliss of Sai's stories alone, as its sweetness would turn bland. Therefore, as mentioned in Chapter 49, this desire to share the "culinary arrangement of essence" with the circle of listeners is what ultimately motivated him to write the book.
