If sensual pleasures are the same in heaven or on earth, what is the ultimate purpose of gathering as a community to worship Sai Baba?

📖 Chapter 37

The teachings in Chapter 37 suggest that the purpose of a spiritual community is not the pursuit of pleasure, which is dismissed as being of equal weight whether experienced by Indra in heaven or a donkey in a dung-heap. Instead, the true value of a community is found in shared spiritual practice. The text explicitly questions the use of any place, even a heavenly one, where there are no devotees of God, no narration of the stories of Hari and the Guru, and no music, dance, or worship of God. Therefore, the purpose of gathering is to engage in these devotional activities, offer every action to God, and collectively strive for the science of the oneness of Brahman and the Self.
