If Sai is the 'complete Supreme Brahman', why did he have a physical body that experienced an end?

📖 Chapter 43

Chapter 43 addresses this by explaining that saints become manifest in a physical form for a specific purpose: the salvation and welfare of their devotees. Sai's physical presence was an act of grace, a chosen avatar taken by his own will. The text clarifies that the body is merely an 'adjunct,' a temporary vessel, and saints have no real consciousness of it or its afflictions. His 'worldly life ended' but his 'spiritual attainment stayed in its place.' This act of taking and leaving a body is described as the 'spontaneous play of Yoga for the sake of the devotees' salvation.' Therefore, the physical end was not a death in the conventional sense but the conclusion of a self-willed manifestation.
