Despite being confined to the Chavadi and forbidden from visiting the Masjid, Amir Shakkar was able to see Sai Baba regularly. Chapter 22 explains that Baba's vision happened automatically because of the Chavadi's location. Daily, Baba's path for morning alms went by the Chavadi, allowing Amir an easy vision as He went and returned. In the evenings, Baba would come in front of the Chavadi to salute all directions. Furthermore, every other night, Baba Himself would stay in the Chavadi, separated from Amir by only a nominal curtain. After the devotees and Aarti were done, the two would talk with calm minds.
If Amir was forbidden from going to the Masjid, how did he get to see Sai Baba during his nine-month stay in the Chavadi?
