If Amir was confined to the Chavadi, how was he still able to have Sai Baba's darshan?

📖 Chapter 22

Although Amir's stay in the Chavadi felt like imprisonment and he was forbidden from going to the Masjid, Chapter 22 explains that his location ironically provided ample opportunities for Baba's darshan. Baba's daily path for alms in the morning took him past the Chavadi, allowing Amir to see him come and go. Every evening, Baba would also come in front of the Chavadi to salute the directions. Furthermore, on alternate nights when Baba stayed there, only a curtain and a plank door separated them, allowing them to talk privately after other devotees left.
