Although Amir Shakkar was forbidden from going to the Masjid and his stay in the Chavadi felt like imprisonment, his location was providentially assigned. Chapter 22 explains that he received Sai Baba's darshan automatically and without effort. Baba's daily path for morning alms took him right by the Chavadi, allowing Amir to see him as he went and returned. Similarly, every evening, Baba would come in front of the Chavadi. Most importantly, on every alternate night when Baba slept in the Chavadi, they were separated only by a nominal curtain and could converse after other devotees had left.
If Amir was basically confined to the Chavadi and forbidden from going to the Masjid, how did he manage to get Baba's darshan for nine months?
