The construction of the Dixit Wada began with a simple thought from Kaka Saheb Dixit after his second visit to see Sai Baba in December 1909. According to Chapter 4, his initial idea was to build a tin roof with twenty-five shares to provide convenience for pilgrims. However, this thought soon evolved into a firm decision to build a proper stone Wada. After getting Baba's approval, the foundation stone was laid the following year on December 10th, a day considered auspicious. In a remarkable coincidence, Dixit's brothers arrived on that very day at that very time, even without being called, to witness the foundation being completed.
I've heard about the Dixit Wada in Shirdi. What's the story behind its construction?
