I read about Ramchandra Dada Patil being very ill. How did Sai Baba intervene, and what specific prediction did he make during this time?

📖 Chapter 42

When Ramchandra Dada Patil of Shirdi was suffering from a very painful and seemingly incurable illness, he became weary of life. Chapter 42 recounts that one night, Sai Baba's form suddenly appeared at his bedside. When Patil desparingly asked when he would die, Baba, the embodiment of compassion, reassured him, saying, "Your danger to life (Gandantara) has passed; why do you grieve?" Baba then made a specific and startling prediction about another devotee, Tatya. He told Ramchandra that Tatya would "attain the eternal state" on Vijayadashami in the bright half of the month of Ashvin, in the Shaka year 1840. Baba explicitly instructed Ramchandra not to tell Tatya, fearing he would lose heart.
