After the repairs were complete, the portrait was kept covered in Mirikar’s drawing room. The narrative suggests it was 'as if waiting for Dixit.' Since Balasaheb was staying longer in Nagar for a horse show, he entrusted the newly repaired portrait to Madhavrao Deshpande to ensure its safe return to Shirdi, adding another layer to Madhavrao's providential visit.
