I read about a portrait of Baba in the story of Dixit's trip. What's the backstory of that photograph and why was it in Nagar?

📖 Chapter 51

The portrait of Sai Baba mentioned in Chapter 51 has a special history. It was a photograph that Megha, one of Baba's most devoted disciples, used to worship with immense love, regarding it as a form of Lord Shankar. The reason the portrait was in Ahmednagar was purely practical: the glass covering it had broken in Shirdi. It had been sent with Balasaheb Mirikar to Nagar specifically to be repaired. After the repairs were complete, the portrait was kept covered in Mirikar’s drawing room. The narrative suggests it was 'as if waiting for Dixit.' Since Balasaheb was staying longer in Nagar for a horse show, he entrusted the newly repaired portrait to Madhavrao Deshpande to ensure its safe return to Shirdi, adding another layer to Madhavrao's providential visit.
